I need advisement on my love life. I am currently single and starting to do a little dating here and there, but I am not super motivated to date. A man from my past has been contacting me recently. He’s a good guy and we were together for a couple of years before life got between us and we broke up, but I know the passion is still there between us and we without a doubt are still in love with each other. Is there a chance he has been getting in touch with me with the thought of possibly reconciling? I would like to entertain the idea of getting back together with him, but I don’t want to be disappointed? And if we were to get back together, I want it to be sooner rather than later, but I feel like I would wait a million years for this guy if I had to. Thoughts?

Hello, he is contacting you for a reason. I feel strongly that he wants to reconnect with you in order to try and rekindle your romance. His sudden contacts are ways of feeling you out so he can guess what your answer or reaction would be if he suggested getting together. You could be the instigator here instead of waiting on him. Next time you talk to him, suggest meeting up somewhere neutral to you both. Pick an environment that you both would feel comfortable in, and doing something that you used to do, especially if you enjoyed it! Good luck to you both!
