Not sure what to ask for except some posative insight. Just feel like I've had so many losses. Lost my dad, my love, and financially shaky right now. Feeling tired, worn out, overworked, underappreciated. Cannot afford a vacation. Struggling to raise my * year old son alone. Just need some posative words. Thanks

First, take a deep cleansing breathe. Try to still your mind. I am sorry to hear of your fathers passing away. However, all is not lost. Honor his passing by celebrating life. I am sure he would not want anyone to suffer in the wake of his death.

Therefore, think of what you do have. You have a * year old son. Many people in the world would love to have a child and cannot. Their is no greater blessing than that of a child in your life.

Next, understand that you do not need anyone to validate your worth. However, an occasional acknowledgement does give momentary happiness it is not lasting. Do not expect to receive "kudos" for anything you do as unmet expectation is the creator of disappointment. Do things to the best of your ability. True happiness comes from within. Knowing that you did your best say this affirmation "I did a really good job to the best of my ability. I am happy as that is all I can do".

Finally, vacation is a state of mind. You may not be able to go on a long trip and spend hundreds of dollars on a hotel stay, however, you can spend quality time with your loved ones. I am sure your son would be very happy with you taking the time out to spend with him. Whether it be in the park, riding a bike, or playing a game your son values the time you spend with him.

I truly hope these words of encouragement help you to feel a little better about your situation. May God bless you and help ease your burden now when you need it most.
