There's this guy that I truly love. I care about him and stuff. He and I used to date last year for a little while, but it ended because he thought I wasn't mature enough. After a few months passed by, my used to be friend kinda messed him up in the head, so he thinks that most girls he meet online are fake. I asked him can I be his friend and he told me to give him time. But I don't know if he will talk to me ever again. I asked some people this question and most said yes and others think that I love him and they skip over the main question, which is I want to be his friend, not lover. Will he ever talk to me again?

I agree with Ms.Italiano. I feel like a little space might draw him out too.

I honestly feel that he may not give you that chance. Usually when people say give them time it means they don't want to come right out and say no because of your feelings and how it might affect you. This may not be permanent and he may change his mind but for right now i would try to move on. If hes not ready now he may not be ready ever. If he wants to believe your ex friend than that's on him he lost someone good. This is what I feel. I do feel that this wont keep him from talking to you again just don't push anything. Just give him space like you have more important things to deal with instead of him.
