I really like a man who is ** years older than me. He seems to like me, too. We dated, but he thinks our age difference will cause problems in a long-term relationship. I don't think the age difference matters if we really like each other. Is he just being insecure, or is there another reason for him to not want to commit long-term? Would the age difference really cause some type of problem?

My apologies, for some reason I see him as younger soul. I feel that he has quite a bit of vital energy. I sense that he has been hurt, in the past. I believe that this is why he is not looking to commit. Once bitten twice shy. I am also getting a feeling that if he does open up to you that their is a chance that this might turn into a longer term relationship. I feel, however, that you need to take it slow. I sense that if you push to hard and he feels the old "wounds" opening he might just hit the bricks. So, take it slow, but definitely have fun. Sorry again, it has been a long night for me.

irisbramblemore than a month agoThanks for the update. I kind of had a feeling that we should take it slow, too. He's been divorced twice, so I'm sure that he definitely has been hurt. He's so much fun, though. :)

Yes, it will especially with the family. I see this is as a short term thing between you and him. Try not to get too attached. However, by all means have fun! The energy of his youth will revitalize you. I sense that it even helps you to get back to the things you used to enjoy. Just understand going in that this really is not a long-term relationship. It is hard not to get emotionally attached so if you feel like you cannot keep a "safe" distance than it might be time to move on. -

I'm confused when you say "the energy of his youth" will revitalize me...he's ** and I'm **. Also, we're not getting back to things I used to enjoy. He's actually introducing me to lots of things I always wanted to do but never got to... -
