Gimel's Spirtual Reading For October 2012

I see that October brings uncertainty into our lives. Once again, we face a deep spiritual quandary regarding our choices in life. Faced with the proverbial fork in the road we must choose between the fear of the unknown and the familiarity of the common place. I sense that the first few weeks of the month prove an emotional roller coaster as we try to wrap our heads around the situation at hand. Lowered expectations aid us in overcoming certain disappointment this month. And, for every dark cloud on the horizon there is also an unseen benefit. For example, our grounded views lead to pleasant surprises when things turn out better than we had anticipated.

I see the first week of the month filled with a mixed bag of sentiment both positive and negative. However, skepticism, volatility, and anxiety seem to provide enough of a head wind to keep most of us sitting out and watching "the game" from the safety of the sidelines. We also find ourselves teetering back and forth between cynicism and optimism this week. We do tend to favor optimism, in our vacillations, however, as our psyches prefer to take refuge in the solace of hope rather than embrace the bitter bone chilling fear of stark possibility. Furthermore, claims of deception, subterfuge, and misdirection pockmark this week with uncertainty. I sense that your best bet is not to make one. Stick with the tried and true this week. If you must venture out and take a risk, try to mitigate your downside by hedging your bets and keeping your bases covered. I see that the virtue of prudence and caution help get you through the week unscathed by the drama that unfolds around you.

During the second week of October, I see that a more pessimistic outlook begins to develop. Dark clouds of fear roil the sky with fierce shades of grey. Unfortunately, many of us find ourselves caught out in the open when the storm hits. Without any cover for solace, the bitter winds whip the cold driving elements at us. Forced to stand our ground against the relentless elements our resolve is tested and fortitude taxed. Fatigue sets in towards the end of the week as we use all of our inner strength to keep moving forward towards the comfort of a brighter tomorrow.

During the third week of October, I see a sluggish recovery dampening our spirits. I sense that we find that in the wake of the storm unforeseen damages prompt us to act swiftly and decisively. Unfortunately, this is one of those situations where the cure comes with many unwanted side effects. However, with little recourse other than to just sit by and watch things deteriorate we opt to implant stopgap measures to try to plug the holes in our slowly sinking spiritual ships.

During the fourth week of October, I sense a break in the weather as we muster up our reserves and center our spirit. A more subdues week of bumps and hiccups helps keep us on an even keel this week. The atmosphere is conducive to getting our affairs in order and preparing for the future. Heading into the weekend we try not become complacent remaining vigilant towards the possibility of any catastrophic change that could occur in the weeks to come.

I sense the most important dates in October as the 4th, 12th, 15th, 24th, 25th, 26th, and 29th. These days should be monitored as they will be eventful days in your life. Overall the month of October will prove a highly volatile month so please use caution and prudence in any decisions you make this month. Hold off on any major decisions and avoid "knee jerk" reactions as it will be a jolting and jarring month ahead.
